The protection experts at Xeluxe, have a systematic approach to fire protection systems design needs for your projects. We assess, we conceptualize, we simplify, we deliver- In short, we design to code compliance. Hence, Xeluxe provides complete fire protection system services in UAE & KSA.
We do not just design sprinkler and fire alarm systems. We design fire protection systems with a total building approach familiarizing ourselves with the whole building, inside and out. Moreover we deliver a more cost-effective systems design based on our complete understanding of the building’s overall fire and life safety features and needs.
Fire Alarm, Detection, Emergency Lighting and Voice Evacuation
A fire alarm system required for life safety are installed, tested, and maintained in accordance with the applicable requirements of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 unless it is an approved existing installation, which are permitted to be continued in use.
We cover the application, design, installation, location, performance, inspection and testing of fire alarm systems. Also, supervising station alarm systems, public emergency alarm reporting systems, fire warning equipment and emergency communications systems (ECS), and their components. Therefore, Xeluxe provides a complete fire alarm system and emergency lighting system services in UAE & Saudi Arabia.
Suppression & Extinguishing Systems
A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection measure. It consists of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected. Planning for fire protection in/around a building involves knowing the four sources of fire. They are natural, man-made, wildfire and incidental. Taking an integrated systems approach that enables the designer to analyze the building’s components as a total building fire safety system package.
The analysis requires more than code compliance or meeting the minimum legal responsibilities for protecting a building. That is, the purpose of building and fire codes is to prevent loss of life. It limits fire impact on the community and do not necessarily protect the mission or assets, or solve problems brought upon by new projects with unique circumstances.
Therefore, it is necessary to creatively and efficiently integrate code requirements with other fire safety measures as well as other design strategies to achieve a balanced design. This will provide the desired levels of safety.
XELUXE fire protection engineers can determine system performance requirements, evaluate water supply systems. Also produce detailed design drawings and documents, perform hydraulic calculations, and evaluate the installation of systems. Our engineers have extensive design and construction experience.
Further, we play a significant role in the development of many fire protection system codes and standards. This knowledge and experience allow us to prepare accurate, cost-effective, state-of-the-art fire protection system designs. Our team of expertise provides fire suppression system and sprinkler system design services in KSA & UAE.
Our suppression and extinguishing system design service includes:
It is the single most effective method for fighting the spread of fires in their early stages before they can cause severe injury to people and damage to property. When one fire sprinkler head goes off to fight a fire the entire sprinkler system does not activate. Sprinkler systems are not only mandatory by most Federal and State codes. But installation of fire sprinklers can provide deep discounts on insurance premiums. Therefore it is necessary to install and maintain a high-quality sprinkler system for the financial interest of building owners.
These provide a pre-piped water system for building occupants or the fire department. A dry riser is a supply system intended to distribute water to multiple levels or compartments of a building, as a component of its firefighting systems. They are advantageous to the fire service in two aspects. Primarily they provide a fixed distribution system within the building that requires no fire service resources or equipment. Secondly it is designed as part of, and to maintain, the compartmentation of the building.
Enclosures where a sprinkler system could cause damage to sensitive contents, such as rooms containing computer servers, paper files or historical artifacts, use a clean agent suppression system. Upon fire detection, the compressed clean AGENT, which can be a halocarbon or an inert gas, is released into the enclosure causing a peak pressure of around 5 to 25 pounds per square foot (240 – 1200 Pa) to occur for a fraction of a second. The magnitude is dependent on the enclosure leakage area.
Once the enclosure is totally flooded, the agent will begin to leak out at a rate that primarily depends on the leakage area in the lower part of the enclosure. The distribution of the remaining agent will either be constant throughout the enclosure (due to continual mixing) or will establish an interface with air above and agent below that descends over time as agent leaks from the enclosure, as shown in Figure.
It uses very fine water sprays (i.e. water mist). The small water droplets allow the water mist to control, suppress or extinguish fires by:
It provides fire-fighting protection for diverse applications. Example- aircraft hangars; basements; cable tunnels; flammable packaging areas; flammable liquid drum storage areas; hazardous waste facilities; LNG tank farms and loading facilities; storage buildings and warehouses. The foam systems produce light, voluminous foam blanket & can quickly obtain great heights, reaching elevated flammable materials (such as on storage racks).
Its installation consist of a system of pipework connected directly to the water supply main to provide water to each and every hydrant outlet. It provides water for the firemen to fight a fire. The water is discharged into the fire engine form which it is then pumped and sprayed over the fire. Where the water supply is not reliable or inadequate, hydrant pumps should be provided to pressurize the fire mains.
Reviewing drawings and installations of fire protection systems for existing facilities for the purpose of evaluating design function and code compliance.
Analyzing fire protection system drawings to determine whether or not the designs conform to the fire protection master plan. As well as comply with applicable codes and standards
We develop detailed specifications for fire protection systems. Further more, provide for maximum performance and cost-effectiveness by enabling multiple suppliers to bid. Also, this service scope may include the preparation of cost estimates for the recommended systems.
To find the exact water demand required pressure head and pipe sizes with fewer friction losses by use of approved hydraulic software.
